Recuperando una piccola e caratteristica mansarda nello storico e animato quartiere di Saint-Germain-des-Prés a Parigi sono stati realizzati due piccoli appartamenti / foresteria. Obiettivo del progetto è la costruzione di un delicato equilibrio tra il linguaggio contemporaneo della ristrutturazione e le permanenze dell'edificio storico. Superfici in cemento, faggio listellare e vetro dialogano con il soffitto da cui emergono i travi originali e con le inevitabili irregolarità dell'involucro.

Two apartments / guest quarters where created restoring an attic in the animated and historical Saint-Germain - des - Prrés area in Paris. Main issue of this project was the construction of a delicate balance between the contemporary style of the new intervention and the historical one of the existing building. Cement surfaces, beech blockboard and glass dialog with the ceiling from which the original beams where made re-emerge and the natural irregularities of the structure.
