Il progetto e la realizzazione della ristrutturazione di questa casa di vacanza affacciata sul Lago di Como è stato profondamente segnato dall'impossibilità di raggiungere il cantiere con i mezzi di trasporto. Ottimizzazione dei materiali, massimizzazione del recupero e del riuso dei materiali presenti e attenzione al risparmio energetico e, più in generale, all'impatto ambientale delle scelte progettuali sono stati i punti fermi del progetto. Conservato l'involucro originale in pietra locale si è proceduto ad una completa ricostruzione degli spazi e delle strutture interne. Le nuove solette sono state realizzate in legno, lasciato poi a vista negli ambienti. Le due scale interne, addossate al muro centrale di spina, definiscono il carattere e l'uso di tutti gli spazi interni.

The project and the realization of the refurbishment of this house peeking over the Como lake deeply depended on the impossibility to reach the place with any means of transport. Optimization in the use of new materials, maximization for any kind of recuperation and re-use of existing materials and a particular attention for energy saving and a low impact for the general design became the main guidelines of this project. The existing shell in local stone was entirely maintained while a complete renovation was undertook for the internal structures and spaces. The new floors where built in wood, left visible in each room. The two internal staircases built around the main central wall define the character and use of the internal spaces.
